The teleconferences are open to the following topics:

  • The techniques commonly involved in analyzing complex systems.
  • Pluridisciplinary questions and applications linked to complex systems.
  • How to define or quantify complexity.

Please subscribe to our mailing-list to be informed of schedule change, and to receive instructions for how to join the conference. The language is English except for thematic school and workshops that may be in French.

The principle is copied from our sister project on Causality and Machine Learning:
  • People see the presentation slides directly in their browsers, with the lecturer being able to change slides and display a "laser" pointer visible by all participants.
  • Audio is with an applet, or by phone, or by voice-over-IP. See the connection instructions.
  • Video of the presentations are made available after the conference.
So, simply opening a URL at the right time shall be enough to participate to our teleconferences.

Applications for giving a talk are opened. Do not hesitate to send a message if you are interested, or to get more details.

The conferences occur weekly or bi-weekly, for the whole fall term 09. Regular sessions occur on Thursdays either at 9h Paris time (speakers from Asia/Oceania) or at 17h Paris time (speakers from North America, or for common lectures with our sister project). Extra sessions will also be broadcasted from thematic schools and workshops.

Some presentations will be made in common with our sister project on Causality and Machine Learning when there is enough commonality between causality and complexity.
